The store-side glass is to be cleaned as a standard window. To quickly and efficiently clean the freezer-side glass, use the SG SOVIS recommended cleaner.

Can tempered glass withstand exposure to high temperatures?

- Yes. SGG SECURIT® tempered glass can withstand exposure to temperatures of up to 600ºC.
- It can also withstand thermal gaps with temperature differences of 200°C.

Are there specific recommendations regarding glass storage?

Yes. Moisture may damage the glass surface. Therefore glass must be stored in a closed and dry warehouse with temperature above 10°C in Winter and ventilation during Summer.

Is it possible to adjust the dimensions of a tempered glass?

No. Cutting, edging or drilling can not be performed on a tempered glass. Any attempt to do so will cause the glass to shatter into multiple small pieces.

Are specific products required to clean SGG ULTRA-VISION®?

No. This anti-glare glass can be cleaned with clear water or any other non-alkaline detergent. However, it is very important to use a soft rag, a micro fiber cleaning rag or a wet sponge. Abrasive materials, such as scrubbing pads or coarse paper towels should not be used to clean SGG ULTRA-VISION® glass.

Yes. Mineral based glass has no effect on food displayed in a case. SG SOVIS can provide a certificate if necessary.

Is it necessary to use a spacer between the glass and the metal hardware when mounting on a display case?

Yes. Direct contact of glass with metal greatly increases the risk of breakage and is not recommended. As with all tempered glass-to-metal interfaces, a gasket or washer with maximum hardness of 50-60 Shore A and a minimum thickness of 1.5mm should be used.
